Fall is in the Air!

I think we’re all feeling the Fall crisp in the air!  Amy sure is, and has a couple beautiful Fall projects to share with us today!

The heart embellishment on the layout is a piece of cardstock covered with layered border punch strips (Scalloped Diamond Border). Amy used one of the 4×4 elements from a Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper, cut the heart out, and layered it on top with pop dots – fun how you can see the border design through the cut out.  Love the touch of Fall she added to the layout using the Tonic Leaf, Fall Tree, and Pumpkin punches!

She used the Scalloped Diamond Border punch and a Simple Stories Harvest Lane element to create the adorable “congrats” card!

Thanks for stopping by – enjoy Fall!

Thanks for stopping by this week to take a peek at the October Afternoon feature – it’s sure been fun creating with Woodland Park!

Here are a couple more cards as we finish up this week’s feature:

“BEAUTIFUL” — Featuring the Tonic Studios MultiDetail Butterfly Punch

For this card, I angled the butterfly punch a bit before punching the butterfly from the front cream cardstock piece.  Rather than using the detailed butterflies I punched out, I used the negative images left in the cream cardstock and matted over this simple pattern.

October Afternoon – Woodland Park Collection – “huckleberry hill” paper, printed chip shapes, and flower sack.

Other – cream cardstock, mini blue adhesive pearls

“HUGS” — Featuring the Tonic Studios Border System, Sewing Holes Punch, & Doily Edger Punch

Tip – for the pattern strips, I adhered them to a scrap of cardstock along the top edge — then they stayed in place as I punched the scalloped edge.

This sewing holes punch is one of the first Tonic punches I used and it’s still one I reach for ALL THE TIME!

Summer might be winding down, but the Woodland Park collection from October Afternoon will have you reminiscing about blue skies, days in the park, and cute little critters!  Join me all week as I share a series of cards and layouts — featuring a number of Tonic tools as well as this delightful collection!

Woodland Park Feature – Day One

I loved the versatility of this collection!  At first glance, it seemed a little girly, but it really lent itself perfectly to some fun baby boy projects — as you’ll see in the layout and card below.

“love THIS FACE” — Featuring the Tonic Simplicity Pattern Dotty Border Punch

“Welcome little one!” — featuring the Tonic Simplicity Pattern Star Border Punch & Simplicity Pattern Scallop Diamond Punch

The card height is trimmed by 1″ so the border punch could extend past the fold.  The two banner pieces were created by snipping triangles off the tips with the Scallop Diamond Border punch.
