Here we go with our second batch of Simplicity Border Punches!
Don’t forget to leave a comment each day for a chance to win the day’s three featured punches!
Simplicity Border Punch – Victorian Border
For this fun card, I cut a bunch of 1″ X 4″ strips from a 6X6 paper pad – insert the 1″ end into the front center of the punch to create the rounded edge, then cut into a petal by trimming from each of the corners of the punched edge to the center of the strip, creating a triangle (finished petals are approximately 1.75″). I cut my first petal and used it as a template to create 11 more. Align the petals to create a flower – add a flower embellishment to the center for a little dimension!
Simplicity Border Punch – Doily Border
These doily punches are quickly going to become some of my go-to punches, I just know it! I used both the Doily Border, and the Doily Strip – again, loving how the Doily Strip makes cute banners and flags!
Simplicity Border Punch – Floral Strip
For this card, I used the strip punch, but didn’t punch completely to either edge – keeping the border intact. I then used a 7/8″ circle punch to add monochromatic coral circles behind the punched strip. I used one of the tiny daisy pieces under my sentiment – love how it tied things together!
