Ribblets Holiday Projects

Ribblets punch #902 – (5/8″ ribbon – 1/8″ hole) -  easy to adorn with brads, eyelets or rhinestones!

Tip #1 – Weave two sections of ribbon starting from each edge so you can tie a bow where they meet.

Tip #2 – When using eyelets or brads, it’s easier to add them before the ribbon.  For rhinestones, you’ll want to add them after you’ve woven the ribbon through your project. 

Ribblets punch #903 – (3/8″ ribbon – 1/8″ hole) – quickly adorn gift boxes with a little more than just ribbon!

Ribblets punch #900 – (3/8″ curved slits – 1/8″ hole) – punch at 3/4″ increments and tie ribbons in small knots through the holes rather than adding eyelets or brads.

Ribblets Greeting Card

I’ve been playing with the Ribblets punches again today.  It’s wonderful how many different designs you can get from a few little punches!  Here is one of the greeting cards I just finished – another will be posted tomorrow along with a layout and little gift box.

Step-by-step:

1. Cut white cardstock to 3 1/2 X 7 1/2.  Using Ribblet punch #901 punch five times starting at 1″ – spacing 1″ apart.
2. Weave thinner ribbon through 3/8″ slots and then wider ribbon through the 5/8″ slots.
3. Using a paper piercer poke holes through the ribbon and attach brads.
4. Chalk edged of the white cardstock if you’d like, mat on red at green cardstock, then onto card front.
5. Add rub-ons or embellish as you’d like.
